当たり前 （あたりまえ）

This grammar can be used to describe when something or a situation is reasonable. (common, natural, obvious,not surprising)

例　－

１．彼は日本に来たばかりだから、日本語が話せないのは当たり前です。
(kare wa nihon ni kita bakari da kara, nihon go ga hanasenai no wa atarimae desu)
(It is obvious that he can not speak Japanese. because, he just came to Japan)

2．それは今当たり前のことになっている。
(sore wa ima atarimae no koto ni natteiru)
(It has become quite common now)

3．君は30分も遅刻したのだから、先生が怒るのは当たり前だ。
(kimi wa sanjuppun mo chikokushita  no da kara, sensei ga okoru no wa atarimae da)
(It is quite natural that teacher gets angry, because you go late 30 minutes)

4．親に叱られるのは当たり前だ。
(oya ni shikarareru no wa atarimae da)
(It is no surprising that we will be scolded by our parents)

5．誰かにプレゼントをもらったら｢ありがとう｣と言うのは当たり前のことです。
(dare ka ni purezento wo morattara 「arigatou」to iu no wa atarimae no koto desu)
(It is a normal thing that we should say 'THANK YOU', when we take a gift from someone)
